We are Citizens of Tri-City who have signed a petition opposing the annexation of Tri-City into Myrtle Creek.
   The People of Myrtle Creek are our friends, family, and neighbors; and like good neighbors we think that the Myrtle Creek City Council should respect our boundaries. Many, if not most all of our friends, family, and neighbors in Myrtle Creek agree . . . why can’t the Myrtle Creek City Council?
   We oppose the Myrtle Creek City Council's recent unanimous vote, that seeks for us to be governed under their City's ordinances.
   The people of Myrtle Creek & Tri-City each have the right to vote on matters that affect their future . . . why should the Myrtle Creek City Council decide for us?
   Basic democratic principles are at stake here.
